Vehicle Sales: The "County of Ventura" does not warrant conformity of vehicles to the requirements of the California Vehicle Code. Pursuant to California Vehicle Code 24007.5 notice is given that all buyers of vehicles must obtain a certificate of compliance for smog control devices prior to registration. The document certifies the vehicle complies with applicable Health and Safety Code requirements. Purchases by dealers and vehicles sold for dismantling or for exclusive off-highway use are exempt from this requirement. SALES TAX, if applicable, is to be paid to DMV when registering the vehicle.
PayMac, handles all payments for County of Ventura. Payment for an awarded item must be received within 5 business days of close of auction.
County of Ventura sales tax of 7.75% shall be added to all purchases made. The buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.

Bid Deposits: County of Ventura may require bid deposits to ensure fairness and equity to all buyers as a way to decrease default bidding.
All items will be sold AS IS, WHERE IS; no warranty, express or implied, is offered (including no guarantee of mechanical condition, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for any purpose). Any and all costs for transportation, handling, loading, inspection, removal, etc., are the responsibility of the Buyer, at the Buyer's sole cost and expense.
All items must be paid and picked up within 5 working days of bid opening or notification of award; otherwise bid may become invalid.
