Up for auction is a 2009 International WorkStar roll-off truck, used for transportation of solid waste dumpster/containers. Truck was a fleet spare until taken in to service for repair of the first generation DEF system: Vehicle was opted for surplus rather than repair. Prior to the dis-assembly of the DEF filter, the truck started, ran, and drove under its own power. All functions of the roll-off bed also worked. Nothing has been tested since being towed from the shop to our surplus lot. Vehicle has only been sitting un-operational for 3 weeks at the time of this posting. Dash shows engine warning light in current state. Date and milage of last oil change is unknown. VA state inspection expired end of July, 2025. Tires are in need of replacement/re-tread.

Interior of the cab is in fair condition for its age. All removed DEF components are in the passenger seat.

Exterior condition is overall fair. DEF filter has been removed on the passenger side of the truck. See pictures.


This description is our complete knowledge of the vehicle and its condition. Vehicle may be viewed upon request, however we will NOT allow the engine to be started, as to protect it from any damage due to the DEF filter removal.

Vehicle comes with one key.

Located at 13048 Poorhouse Rd. Windsor VA 23487. Due to the condition of this vehicle, towing off-site is REQUIRED if repairs cannot be preformed by the winner of this auction on day of scheduled pick-up.

COUNTY OF ISLE OF WIGHT may charge a sales tax. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding on an item(s). When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.

Buyers Premium: A Buyers Premium of 9.5% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium if applicable will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email. Buyer must remove auction item(s) from said agencies premises within 5 business days of notification by Public Processing of receipt of payment. The payment receipt must be presented at the time of pick up or the said agency will not release the item to you.

Bid Deposits: COUNTY OF ISLE OF WIGHT may require bid deposits to ensure fairness and equity to all buyers as a way to decrease default bidding.

Pick-up hours by appointment only. Successful bidder will be responsible for removal of item.

Successful bidder will be responsible for cost of packing and/or shipping of any item(s) if necessary.
