Questions
[ View/Ask ]They are a type of fitness equipment used primarily for balance and stability training, as well as strengthening your core muscles.
How they work:
Unstable Surface: The boards typically have a rounded or dome-like base, which makes them unstable. When you stand or place your hands on them, your muscles have to constantly adjust to keep you from tipping over.
Muscles Targeted: This instability forces you to engage smaller, deeper stabilizing muscles in your core, legs, and ankles that you might not hit with traditional exercises.
The Handles: The handles you see on the sides make them easier to carry and also provide grip and support for exercises where your hands are on the board, like push-ups or planks.
They are versatile tools for a variety of exercises, including squats, planks, and single-leg balance work.
